Sting

Sting is built for practical fishing - easy-to-drive hulls, Mercury outboard power and a price that leaves room for both boat and gear

About Sting

Sting boats are owned and produced by Frydenbø Marine, part of the Norwegian family-owned Frydenbø Group. Sting is one of the group's own brands, alongside Nordkapp and Airborne, gathered under Frydenbø Boats.

The models - from day cruisers and coastal runabouts to Pro versions with a wheelhouse - are drawn by Norwegian designer Espen Thorup, with a focus on practical, affordable and easy-to-drive hulls. The boats are built at the group's own factory premises in Poland, at Frydenbø Boats Production, and are delivered and rigged with Mercury outboard motors.

Today Frydenbø is one of the major players in the Scandinavian boat market, and also distributes brands such as Zodiac. For a fishing event like the World Cod Fishing Championship, that means boat, engine and dealer setup all sit under the same roof.
